Vaccination Decision

Book Recommendation: "A Shot in the Dark: Why the P in the DPT Vaccination May Be Hazardous to Your Child's Health" by Harris L. Coulter and Barbara Loe Fisher.

This is a book that came out of some parents' heartbreaking experiences with vaccine reactions in their children. The co-founders of Dissatisfied Parents Together (DPT) and the National Vaccine Information Center (NVIC) presented me with the book with thanks for my work in helping to take phone calls from distraught parents and to transcribing notes for some of the original legislation that created the Vaccine Injury Compensation Act. The book is dedicated to my boss's daughter, Julie, who died at three years old from reactions to a vaccine.

The risks are minimal, but there are still risks. Do not let anyone tell you that vaccines are safe for everyone, because they are absolutely not. Ask questions, know your allergies, and take control.

This is not an attempt to tell anyone not to vaccinate their children or themselves; it is a plea to educate yourself about what you are willing to put into your or your child's body. We are consumers first!
